NLR is proud to present our Annual Report 2024

2024: A new balance – until No Leprosy Remains

The past year can be characterized by progress and adaptiveness, major project successes, but also some challenges and disruption. A year where our resilience as an international NGO is tested without losing sight of our mission: a world without leprosy. We invite you to view our results in 2024. Read NLR’s Annual Report 2024.

Looking forward

NLR will maintain its current strategic direction through 2028, focusing on:

  • Prevention & Early Detection: Scaling up preventive treatments like SDR-PEP and researching new ones (e.g. PEP++, Telacebec).
  • Diagnostic Innovation: Using technologies such as AI and GIS mapping to identify and manage leprosy clusters more effectively.
  • Integrated Health Approaches: Collaborating with other health programmes (e.g. TB and skin diseases) to boost impact and efficiency.
  • Securing New Funding: As projects end, new funding sources are needed to support future tools and initiatives.
  • National Leadership: Supporting affected countries to take ownership and leadership in leprosy control.
  • Youth Engagement: Involving younger generations in various roles to sustain long-term commitment to leprosy elimination.

NLR recognises the risk of declining attention as leprosy nears elimination but sees this as an opportunity to rally  support for this final phase. Despite ongoing challenges, it remains committed to eliminating leprosy through persistence, innovation, and collaboration.

We hope to keep working with you and realise our shared goals: until No Leprosy Remains

Thanks to our donors, partners, staff and supporters

We are very proud and grateful for the support of and collaboration with our stakeholders. The ongoing generosity of our supporters, partners and donors and hard work of staff, volunteers and supervisory board enables NLR to truly make a difference and to continue our work towards zero leprosy.
